WWDC25 & Figma Config unofficial & official events list

It’s an exciting time in Silicon Valley and SF right now.
Much of the venture capital that was once being poured into the type of crypto scams that bankrupted Silicon Valley Bank is carefully being put back into projects with actual use cases.
The weekly SF AI Events Calendar says it all.
Investors are reinvesting into the fabric of the startup market at alarming rates for AI software which introduces its own ethical and human factors challenges (like every movement always does).
It's nice to see people building and investing in real product again with real use cases that aren't based on academic whitepapers and utopian pipedreams that someone conjured up while they were smoking peyote at burning man. As a former photographer for burning man project, I can assure you that I’ve heard and seen it all.
A few things to get excited about come early May & June (Last Updated: 4.14.2025)

Figma Config (May 6-8) is the conference for platform agnostic product builders and design systems teams to attend who work on remote teams that want to make sure AI isn't hallucinating all over their projects. The conference is already sold out but I recommend attending day 2 with virtual registration here.

Config Warm-Up (Tuesday, May 6) - 8:00AM
Before diving into the world of design and the latest updates at Config, why not start your day with an easy run and great conversations? Config Warm-Up is a meetup for designers who also love to run. No matter your pace – the goal is to connect with fellow designers, get ready for an intense day of learning, and start the event full of energy!📍 Location: Ferry Building
🏃♂️ Lace up your running shoes (8 km)Here’s an early bird invite to the Config afterparty at the Press Club (last year this event was waitlisted 1000+). I’ll be there getting ready for WWDC25 and crossing paths with Jesse Showalter, Tommy Geoco, Femke van Schoonhoven and Soren Iverson

WWDC25 (June 9-13) is the conference for product builders to attend who haven't completely abandoned centralised design processes and want to make sure the platform decisions they are making aren't going to be made obsolete in one night.
I’m collecting an official (and unofficial) events list for both Figma Config and WWDC25 this year and will be keeping this article updated.
Be sure to get in touch if you’d like your event mentioned.

Please get in touch if you have an upcoming event you’d like to make sure skeuomorphic design readers know about in time for Config or WWDC25 this year.
Years ago, you had to be at in person sessions to benefit from session content but recent years international teams have been able to enjoy having access to sessions content right from the Apple Developer app.
You will need to be registered as an Apple developer (at $99/year) which gives you early access to OS builds, Test Flight and early insights around the latest platform decisions being made at Apple.
Events will be listed below (and not blasted out) so you’ll want to bookmark this article link as the events approach:

RSVP to join the world's largest IRL gathering of Apple developers alongside Apple's WWDC in Cupertino, CA.
One More Thing is the community-run neighbor conference to WWDC. We’ll be gathering for talks, for workshops, for WWDC-labs-inspired experiences enabled by community experts, and to meet fellow developers in a shared space.
One More Thing is born out of gratitude and passion for our wonderful community and is inspired in large part by the conferences we know and love from 2019 and earlier.
